About Janice Smith
I live in Central Oregon, an area of dramatic landscapes of majestic mountains, dense forests, high deserts, lava flows, and farm land. There is an abundant amount of scenery for which I get my inspiration. Formerly my work included graphite and ink portraits, cartoons, painting commercial signs, murals, and designing company logos. More recently I have completed a large landscape mural for a local business representing the beauty surrounding Central Oregon. I have also completed a variety of other commissioned work. My most current work consists of acrylic paintings on canvas of landscapes and old automobiles. Abandoned autos presumably, were long ago some ones prized possession. Now they are nothing more than manmade artifacts...
