love this greeting card
This a rendition I did of Shoeless Joe Jackson in Daniel Smith Walnut Ink and Faber Castell water color Pencil. I was inspired by Shoeless Joe and the unjust way both his fellow players from the 1919 White Sox team (also known as the Black Sox because the conspired to throw the World Series) treated Joe as well as the way Baseball itself treated him. He deserved and still deserves better. I salute you Joe.
This painting would go well in the den of any sports loving fan. Joe was a competitor batting .375 in the alleged fix of the series and was flawless in fielding. It's great history and a great story.
Prolific! That is the best word to describe the current phase of Rand's artistic emergence. Fascinated by art and life from an early age, Rand has always engaged his creative gifts in every endeavor he has participated in from drawing, painting, sculpting, writing, teaching and motivating others to engage and explore their own created gifts. Rand has a unique gift of reading people and events and translating what he sees into an expression, often drawing into the depths of his own spiritual life to bring his images out into the open. Feeling, mood and motion are hallmarks of Rand's work. Nothing is static. There is a message in the making, always.

Thank you Patricia! Compliment an artist and he/she just might go crazy and make more. In fact tonight...I'm working on a couple of ducks I found in Portland, OR. Should be fun.
