October is a month when autumn storms really start appearing along the Atlantic Ocean coast. Here at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, we've come again to capture some of the drama of the sea and sky. My partner is braced against a blast of wind from the ocean, and the iconic lighthouse area has been almost vacated. Great time for storm shots!

Hello to everyone. I'm Canadian, born and raised in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia,with a long career in radar,communications,and computers.Retired at 74. Scion of a Grand Banks schooner captain and a merchant mariner,I love the ocean. I started using 35mm.color in 1950.Favourite camera was an Exakta Varex.Switched to digital around 1998. My favourite subjects are sailing ships, ocean liners, the sea, forest,mountains..maybe I should just say "nature". In the past I've written articles for a number of magazines, illustrating them with my own photos. I love photographing whatever appeals to me or happens to catch my eye.
