I received a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from James Madison University. Early in my working career, I taught art in several high schools. Later, I studied for and received a Certificate of Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. I worked in the computer field as a systems analyst and computer programmer for 21 years.
