Where I've worked some new, specially-made and designed local rules came out, saying if we call in sick then we MUST supply a Doctor's note when we come back to work ... or else they'll DOCK OUR PAY, which they have done. This isn't right, it stinks, especially when the Union Rules say if you're sick over THREE (3) days, THEN you supply the doctor note ...

Richard Bennett is a writer and cartoonist living in North Texas; he's also retired Mailman and a retired Senior Master Sergeant from the USAF Reserves. He has written five books, 'Everything I Need to Know I Learned in Boy Scouts', 'Faith and Labor', 'The Lovely Chocolate Mob', its sequel, 'The Mighty Hogs of Lovely High', and 'Small Tales About Small Kids.'
