Image is an old wooden child's sled resting in the snow up against the side of a red farm outbuilding. The Flexible Flyer steel runner sled is part of the fabric of the childhood memories of so many of us. Found this sled and barn on a farmstead in Sarpy County, Nebraska.

Nikolyn. I saw this yesterday on Facebook.. and it's such a wonderful nostalgic piece. It's an old sled but looks like it would be so pleased to be taken for a ride by a child anytime. The red on the sled and on the building's peeling paint make this such a warm image even though it's in winter and we know it's cold. Fabulous work as always! :-) Maggie

oh love, love this Nikolyn!!!! I just had my son's old Flexible Flyer in the back of the car, getting ready to donate it. He saw it and ... now it's in the basement, lol!!! I LOVE your picture of it in the snow ... and against that wonderful old peeling red building ... fabulous capture!!! You make me glad I hung onto his old sled!!!!! l/f and tweetd

This one is not for decoration - there were two sitting side by side that day and they had been used by the two boys on the farm that morning :) But I have a picture of a similar sled - well, actually, it's quite a bit longer and the runners are more toboggan like, in my Winter and Christmas gallery that was in use as a holiday decoration when I took it. Might give you an idea for yours for this season. Thanks so much for the comment and support.
