Thank you Regina. Where us your work! I went to Nerdly painter. It's more like Facebook. How are you?

Thank you David...the part of me that doesn't want to quit stayed in there, fighting!!! It was successful because of the accident of the sleet melting in the paint....for the vote too!

Thank you Joseph! I appreciate the comment! Yes it was a happy accident as I was upset at the conditions and had to move under the car hatch back.

Happy accident, if that is what it was! Back story is a wonderful addition, but it works well history unknown. Great stuff!

I like the slippery paint you sluiced around the canvas voted.

Artist's Description

Today was terrible day to paint outdoors. I nestled under a pine but it wouldn't keep the wet sleet and rain from striking and sticking on my painting board or pochade box. Finally I had to move to the car under the rear hatch. The sleet stuck and melted into the paint which was trying to freeze. Finally I was able to sue the brush end to pull the work back into some semblance What I ended up with was a very accurate presentation of the feeling of the moment.

About Charlie Spear

Charlie Spear

Charlie Spear was born in 1948 in the Midwest. The era of Modern Art was in full swing with the Sixties generating an artistic smorgasbord of art styles and new media. Much of his early career was spent learning about art through teaching art in H.S. and College. Exploring the art media's physical qualities is an important element in his style coupled with a love of an impressionistic drawing style. The result is a charged surface of automatic line energy and raw color expression. His work is a reflection of familiar and even common events in his life which connects him with the larger population of earth's dwellers. When I paint and draw, just enough concrete imagery remains, to call the idea I express as Illusary Prose....
