The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

The vaulted ceiling of the West Wing of the Smithsonian Castle with a half domed bay. It was the first Smithsonian building designed by architect James Renwick, Jr and was constructed of Seneca sandstone in 1849.
