This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

It must have been something I ate ... Photo taken at the Lexington Ave Arts and Fun Festival (LAAFF) in Asheville, NC. The street photography is converted into art through a series of manipulations in Photoshop using plugins, a Wacom pen monitor (Cintiq), and numerous brushes and tools I have created over the past 20 years.

John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others.
