Thanks Cindy, for featuring my image in the "Digital Photography Group".

Great Debra! I'm so accustomed to it now that I forget sometimes when I view a normal 2D image and I start to converge my eyes. It's 2nd nature to me now. :)

I can't help but comment again. It helps if I use my finger in front of eye to start focusing on. After practicing it does become easier. Great image.

Artist's Description

3D stereo crossview image of an old abandoned house with some effects added for Halloween. The old "Lowman House" in Odenton Maryland was built in the 1880s and has been abandoned since the late 70s. It was demolished earlier this year (2012).

To view: Gently converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears. Not everyone is successful with this method but if you are, you will see depth (3D without the need for 3D glasses), and it becomes easier each time. Eventually it will become 2nd nature.

About Brian Wallace

Brian Wallace

I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau. Best Regards, Brian Wallace https://twitter.com/Starg82343
