About Georgia Griffin

Georgia Griffin

Georgia Griffin is a self-taught artist, primarily painting in acrylic and oil, who also enjoys exploring clay, resin and assemblage works, writing, and photography. Having spent the last decade in the Coastal Bend region of South Texas, she has now returned to New England. While in Texas she spent 5 years writing for CC Magazine, interviewing local artists in her column The Canvas, and compiling the monthly regional arts calendar, ArtScene. In 2014 Georgia resigned that post to focus on a new body of work, "Memory Shrouds", a posthumous collaboration with her late father. "Memories saturate us, informing our thoughts and laying the basis for relationships that we draw on long after life has changed completely."
