An abandoned house is falling into ruins. Eastern Shore Virginia.
On the left side of the road into the town of Cape Charles is an old warehouse that has been sitting empty for years. In the course of exploring the old warehouse for photo opportunities, I spotted two old farm houses nearby...the appeared to have been empty for years. Both houses still had some furniture and other household objects inside...as if the people had just walked out and meant to come back some day. There are many such places scattered around this country and every single one of them calls at me to stop, explore, and consider who had once lived in these places and why they had left.
