The Niagara Peninsula is home to about 100 wineries it is on the same latitude as many of the wine regions in Europe including Bordeaux. While there are some large wineries many of the wineries are smaller and produce limited production. Stone Church Winery and vineyard is located just off Stonechurch Rd. and this view of the winery is from the parking lot looking towards the entrance with the vinyard in the background. The vintage tractor and disc plough provide an interesting point of focus attesting to the hard work that goes into the production of wine in small wineries. This pen and ink drawing was created using the pointillism technique. To create the soft antique feel of this subject I chose to use two very fine points, a .005 Micron archival ink pen and a .01 Micron archival ink pen on 80 lb. artist paper.
