Artist's Description
This oil painting is of a coastal scene of ocean, rocks, a lighthouse and a sunset. In the foreground are breakers crashing unto the shore. A huge storm has passed and the clouds are starting to separate and let the red, orange and crimson light of the setting sun shine through. The near distant rocky cliffs are reflecting the light of the sunset. The foam from the breakers is also reflecting some of the light from the sky. On a far distant cliff is a lighthouse with its beacon coursing through the thick humid atmosphere. Behind the lighthouse are pine trees and over head are huge thunder clouds. On the oceans horizon is the light from the setting sun reflecting across the surface of the water. Banks of fog are framing the scene in the distance. This painting is copyrighted.
