The artwork is beautiful. I think it would be excellent on a canvas. I have been considering a second order. I am in awe of the artist.

I have not received the sandhill crane framed print yet/ cannot submit a review yet.
The life of a pirate is now one of a romantic adventurer. When thinking of pirates I sometimes think of Teye Ba. Teye Ba is a ring that was found in the excavation of Whydah pirate ship. No one knows who owned the pirate ring, it has been the source of much speculation. Some wonder if it was a Navy soldier who became a pirate or that the ring is African in origin. In honor of the found ring, I call this work "Teye Ba".
DePaula is known at the Island Artist. From the time he was knee-high to a crocodile, DePaula has wanted to draw. DePaula wants to bring people the beauty, the colors and the sense of relaxation of the islands he loves. He envisions a world in which beauty is as important as function, where culture and history are fiercely preserved, and where islands are havens to be protected. DePaula creates a world of vibrance and subtle mystery. William’s world is filled with vivid life and color. The pictures give you an energy of what was painted or drawn. The work is a blend of the dramatic influence of the early masters and the simplicity of the modern masters. To learn more about the Island Artist visit, http://www.theislandartist.com
