Artist's Description

I recently came across some of my old drawings my mother had kept in a folder in box in a closet. In this box was literally hundreds of horses I had drawn with crayola crayons on yellowed manila paper-- pintos ( as they were referred to then, black stallions, and lots and lots of palaminos. They were most likely done in 1965 and 66, when i was in the 2cd and/or 3rd grade. They looked like "stick horses" with big hooves, stars or blazes, a variety of mane colors, mostly "english" saddles, and "snaffle" bits. What a nice surprise for me, however, they were not quite as exquisite as I had remembered.... Now , I specialize in equestrian art and they are just as enjoyable to paint.
