Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Artist's Description

The most unusual member of the iguana family is the marine iguana. It is the only lizard that is marine and dives for its food which is algae. The dark coloring is thought to be an adaptation to their diving since they are cold-blooded and must bask in the sun to warm themselves. They are seen mostly on the dark rocky shores and at first I didn't see a colony that we past in the boat. This fellow, however, was very accommodating, sitting on a light-colored rock so he stood out for this photo! The white on his face is salt which is excreted from nasal glands. This species is endemic to the Galapagos Islands. All proceeds from photos of Galapagos Island animals will be donated to the Charles Darwin Foundation which functions to study and protects these and other endemic species.

About Diana Cox

Diana Cox

Welcome! My love of color and texture has been evident since I was very young. At 11 years old, I was drawing portraits in pastels and throughout college made extra money selling "boyfriend portraits" to other students (oh my, love at that age!). Now I get great satisfaction experimenting with color, trying out new texture tools (who knew you could use garden tools?), and spending hours with Photoshop plug-ins just to see "what" they do. I use many different media today, though - oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, mixed media, digital art, photography - you get the idea. Here at FAA, I'm happy to share the fruits of my labor with you. Take a look around. If you enjoy a piece enough to make a comment, that would be great. If you see...
