Thanks, all.

Powerful commentary

Interesting artwork, congrats on your sale !

He's one person in history that I would be glad to shoot! Hind sight is 20-20, and I'm sure the majority of people would do the same, knowing what he (Hitler) was responsible for. Good karma or not.

Interesting piece Allan. I enjoy the fact that although all of your work is very well done, this piece made me stop and think and not simply contemplate beauty. Thanks for your creation!

cool, cheers Allan.

Hi Rob: I actually posted a note with this painting when I showed it in Toronto in a show I titled, 'Moments of Awakening'. Here's a precis of that note: HH the Dalai Lama was asked: If you were in the presence of Adolph Hitler with a gun, knowing about the genocide he was perpetrating on the world, would it be appropriate for you, a Buddhist, to kill him? He consulted with advisors and responded: Although the negative karmic repercussions for me to kill him would be great, the positive karmic result of preventing him from continuing the massive harm of the holocaust would be the greater good. I hope this helps, Namaste, Allan

sorry Allan, I think I may have commented back out of turn, I never noticed your description till now. But still don't get it?

Nah, sorry, thats a bit deep for me, can you explain that in laymen's terms? or simplistic talk?

i just think the Dalai Lama would never shoot anyone, not even Hitler, so for me the picture has no point. If it does, I've missed the point. Enlighten me Allan?

good, very odd makes a human wonder about choices of behavior?

I'm going to use this as my peace painting , just kidding this is so well executed, a play on words Ha, Ha. Your imagination and style , the detail subperb. Linda

Very interesting and polemic piece. I wonder if that would've had ever happened.....
