Description

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

On December 26, 1942, while flying over Yunnan-Yi, China, Colonel Scott (in a single pass) shot down 2 Japanese Kawasaki Ki-48s. Scott's Curtiss P-40K Warhawk, Old Exterminator, returned from that mission without a scratch. General Scott spoke of that mission as the day I owned the sky. Scott commanded the 23rd Fighter Group, 14th Air Force (the Flying Tigers). He finished the war with 22 confirmed victories. General Scott is the author of the famous book God Is My Co-Pilot, and the book sharing the same name as this print, The Day I Owned The Sky. Signed by WWII Ace Brig. Gen. Robert L. Marc Stewart is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, currently residing in Newnan, Georgia. He has always had an interest in flying and of aircraft (WWII aircraft in particular). As a teenager he earned his pilots license. He and his friends flew all over the U.S. and Canada in a Cessna 120, and through the ignorance of youth (mixed with a lot of luck) narrowly averted death many times! They would often get two aircraft and "dogfight" each other or put on "airshows" for their friends -- including one stunt flight through an expressway underpass.
