This is just so beautiful Kris

Kristin, I just checked out the online info on the barn. Wow, it is gorgeous! What a treasure. I'm so glad it is being preserved.

Thanks for your comments. I'll keep the barn in mind!

I love this little gingerbread house. We have driven past it many times. You did a wonderful job of capturing its charm. I was wondering if you would be interested in painting the Chase Stone Barn in on the Southern border of Oconto Cty near Pulaski? Our town owns the barn and is making it the focal point of our new Chase Stone Barn Park and future museum. It is located on Cty Rd S in the Town of Chase. For more info check out our facebook page by searching Chase Stone Barn.

Very clever, colorful!

What a beautiful painting! I enjoy looking at your works, they are all of very high quality done only by a master.

Artist's Description

The stone cottages, built between the 1920s and 1950s by Wilmot Swanson, a Swedish lumberjack, have enchanted visitors to the north woods of Wisconsin for decades. This depicts the Gingerbread House, the fifth house which was completed in the mid-1950s.The original watercolor painting is part of a series of twelve iconic buildings in the Lakewood WI area painted by Kris Parins from 2002 - 2004. Somerset Velvet paper is recommended for prints.
