Jimmie Bartlett replied:

Thanks Joyce. I used to play guitar a lot. Can't bend the fingers as well now. This is my grandson's guitar and I have hope he will continue his lessons and experience the joy I had.

Such a delight to see this painting with the guitar, after I saw yesterday the one with the mandolin. Your attention to the details is incredible, Jimmie. Wonderful work. f,v

Artist's Description

The Guitar is third painting of a series of musical instruments I wanted to paint. I played guitar many years ago and it generated a deep love of music for me. The Guitar is a 24 x12 inch acrylic painting on stretched deep gallery wrap canvas with edges painted. A Martin guitar was used as my model for this still life painting.
