My Chimera is sort of a cuddly stuffed animal, but a mystical mythic creature too. He's also a rather lusty chimera, isn't he.

The Chimera wears a crown.

There are flowers beneath the woman's feet.

The ocean moves behind her like her wings or a shawl.

Perhaps she's a Venus image, or a rendition. The Zephyr blow Venus to the shore where the Horae wait with a cape of magnolia blossoms among the magnolia trees. Which is slightly different to this image, so I'm not sure.

The poem, fragments of which are written into the under-painting:

fish live in a ribbon of river in the sky

nor do I sprinkle specks of strands of saffron stars

bouquets of red poppies bloom in paper ice

the soul, a chimera, who gave moments
never to erase
lived words, acts

seeing flying angels makes me laugh...
or you can delete what's in your heart

Richard Clews, a geologist, moved the family to Zambia, where her two brothers were born. They lived in Kafue National Park in Zambia, the largest game park in Africa, while her father worked for an American mining company prospecting for copper in that region.
