This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?
Artist's Description
"The Last Dawn" is so named because this hotel was about to be torn down. I used to drive by every morning as I took my sons to the high school near to it. (Later on, I taught art at the same high school.) It was part of a lovely and peaceful drive along the River Road next to it. I loved to see the rising sun over it. An early owner was Ralph Laycock, who reopened it in 1934 after it had closed for some years during the real estate bust of the late 1920s. It was acquired in 1961 by Tony and Georgia Ninos, who restored it to much of its earlier charm.
Next to the hotel, on Oleander Point, was the Indian River Yacht Club. It had been formed during the 1880s. Oleander Point was a popular meetin...
About AnnaJo Vahle
Although born in upstate New York, I grew up mostly in Nevada and California. The fabulous panoramic views of the far west inspired me to begin painting and photographing it’s beauty. While living in the Mediterranean, I was especially influenced by the great Renaissance art and the chiaroscuro work of Caravaggio. I began with oils, worked with a wide variety of mediums but now mostly work in acrylic, oils, and photography. I studied mostly engineering in college but ended up with a degree in Technical Illustration, one in Psychology after several moves and colleges, one in Art Education. My experience as a...
