Artist's Description
This is the tiny village of Penobscot, Maine. I shot the photo last winter as the oil truck was making its way down a hill in our little town. It was a frigid, icy day, but our oil truck driver's are very loyal, seldom missing a delivery. The often remind me of the postal workers for whom the quote was coined "the mail must go through." In this case, for those of us hardy enough to endure the long, dark, and bitter Maine winters we believe the phrase is also know as "the oil must go through."

I am a lady who lives in the woods along the shore of Maine. My cottage is shared with my artist husband, David, and our sweet half greyhound, Drzl (pronounced Drizzle.) I have a passion for finding early morning sunrays falling in the woods, and for scenes filled with lights and shadows.
