Artist's Description
This local landmark in Halsey, Oregon was taken down in December, 2012, "the victim of age and a changing farm economy." It was built with old-growth Douglas fir in the 1930s and stood 180'. Built in log-cabin fashion, it had planks that began at the bottom at 12" wide, and tapered in width upward to 10", 8", and 6". About Bonnie Bruno
Welcome! I am a nature photographer and mixed media artist, inspired by the colors, patterns, and textures God wove into our amazing world. Before I took up art, I spent 30+ years working for both mainstream and inspirational publishers writing books, curriculum, Hallmark cards, columns (Newsday), and magazine articles. My 21 years as a military wife fed my love for travel and adventure. We lived six years in Germany and in three regions of the U.S., eventually settling in the lush green Willamette Valley of Oregon, which we have called Home for the past 33-plus years. Faith, family, and the great outdoors. Life is good and I feel very blessed! Visit my Instagram feed for...

Mike, I enjoy these old structures, too. Maybe it's because I grew up in farm country and was raised in a small town. They're quickly getting replaced or torn down. Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your thoughts.
