The memory still sends a shiver down my spine Byron ;^)

Thanks for your thoughtful comments and support Heidi, Lawrence, and Karen :^)

Oh my gosh, Ashley! You are a brave woman! I admire you and really appreciate the lengths you go to for these fantastic shots!! I love their relationship with the wood branch. The color and textures all work in a beautiful composition! vf

Ashley Vincent replied:

Thanks Karen, though as much as sometimes I wish I were a brave woman, if my wife's recent inspection is anything to go by, for better or worse I'm still merely a man - LOL ;^)

They are beautiful, Ashley, and you've captured them perfectly! f/v

Many thanks for your thoughtful comments and support Donna, Tessa, William, Nick, Snezana, Juls, and Geoff :^)

Ashley, no one captures cats with a camera like you do, and this is an especially stunning composition. I love the setting and how these two are set off against the uncluttered blue backdrop. Also love how you appear to have the full attention of the little one. Superb capture! Voted

Wow! What a beautiful capture! How exciting for you to be able to experience this...I'm jealous!

Awesome!!!

You capture wildlife so well Ashley... awesome shot. :-) fv

Artist's Description

Here's another picture I recently dug out of my South African Adventure folder and dusted off, so to speak! Though since then I've had the privilege of working in very close quarters to lions cubs at Khao Kheow Open Zoo here in Thailand, while documenting their growth and development over the course of a five month period, these sibling cubs over in South Africa were the first cats I'd ever photographed in such a personal setting. The little boy was an absolute dream, however, his sister at only two months older was, frankly, somewhat unnerving; each time I lay flat on the ground in an attempt to capture him at eye level, she...

About Ashley Vincent

Ashley Vincent

While cats are my favourite subjects, my portfolio is made up of a wide diversity of animals I have been fortunate enough to encounter and work with in zoos, wildlife parks, as well as in the wild during numerous photography trips around Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, England, South Africa, Madagascar, and Kenya. My images have been featured around the world in both printed and online media, I write articles about my photography for Thai and UK magazines, and I...
