About Jonathan McCallum
I picked up a simple point-and-shoot digital camera at the age of 17 and took a shot of a trio walking along the beach, silhouetted against the setting sun. I liked chasing the shot and getting the resulting image. I have been a photographer ever since then. It enabled me to become a photographer for a cruise line and allowed me to travel around a large part of the world, and come back with powerful images. My portfolio contains landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, still-lifes, candids - but I frame them all as fine art. I want my work to be seen as art, through the medium of photography; as opposed to it being artistic photography. My vision is to become a renowned artist, with a camera as my tool.
