I posted, but it didn't seem to stick. This is really the best image I've seen in a long, long while. Should be in MOMA. It is a fv forever. What a great one. Similar to the work of Robert Walker., and he is famous.

Joanna Madloch replied:

Thank you, Joe. It's very nice of you :)

Joanna, my internet connection faltered when I selected this image in the Minimalism in Photography group earlier. What I especially admire is the 'suggestion' of the story. You captured the man's glance at just the precise moment when he is looking expectantly, as though he is waiting for the viewer to put something in the can which he will retrieve later. It is up to the viewer to write the plot and finish the story. I also love that there is naturally so little color in the image - just the can and the man's face, really. The most incredible thing is this three-way interaction between the man, the can and the viewer. Great capture! voted

Joanna Madloch replied:

Thank you, Cheri. I really appreciate your kind comment. You are right, I really strive for a narrative element in my pictures, and I am so happy you see "a story: here. Thank you for a vote and selection. Have I mentioned that I love your photography, especially the minimalistic series? Best, Joanna

Delightful picture! v/f

Joanna Madloch replied:

Thanks Marcia. It means a lot.

Joanna~Although I have already v/f this image, it is my Pick of the Day in the Minimalism in Photography group discussion. It is also being discussed in this thread: Congratulations on a fine image. This was also chosen by Cheri Randolph as Pick of the Day.

Joanna Madloch replied:

Thank you, Lenore. I really appreciate it.

Thank you, Anand. I am so glad you like it.
