Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Artist's Description
This was an interesting shot I saw on another building. I added gray tissue paper that I had ripped and than retook the photo. Like ripping open something to see what lies beneath.
In abstract photography there are added dimensions rarely seen in other media. Focus can add to the conceptual feel of abstracts by isolating parts of the subject through bokeh the frosted-focus effect created by controlling Depth of field. The other dimension is that movement blur may be introduced, while not unique to photography it is certainly a significant compositional factor which is not used to the same extent in other visual arts except possibly video/film.
Abstract photography is about introducing the viewer to the essence of an object. The aim is to help the viewer gain an emotional, almost primeval attachment, to the image, enjoying the feel of how it looks. For the viewer, abstract photography is not about understanding and recognizing the subject...
About Marcia Lee Jones
Where does one start with a quick biography, which will give some insight to the artist inside? For me, photography was a way to get my feelings out by capturing moments in my life. Memories are one of the biggest ways to experience emotions of all types. Photography was that answer to capture moments that were ignored by others that would elicit an emotion. For instance, the way light can highlight an object brilliantly shadows that express mystery colors that can be dramatic or soft. To be able to do that with any form of art is important to the human psyche. We all must be able to express ourselves and my way is in black, white and color. Hope you will enjoy some of these...
