Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

I wanted a photo that showed what a beast these things are, and this one really shows it.

I like vultures, and this photo really catches this one in flight.

Perfect! I wish that you'd included a translation of the two inscriptions in some ancient language that are above the shoulders of St John Coltrane. It would cost your company virtually nothing to supply this with the picture.
Artist's Description
A 2D rendering from one of my 3D modeled scenes.
Here, I challenged myself to create a strong mood and dynamic compositional balance - by using a single powerful light beam in a darkened room to illuminate a pensive mood.
Thanks for viewing :o)

Thanks so much everyone. Yes, Carola Ann-Margret and Addie, I guess lighting and composition can be almost the same thing. Jean: Thinking of adding documentary material to each image about how it's done (have more ideas than time though). Thanks Ana: I hadn't thought about classical style. That's feedback worth some deep thought. Lyle: Yes, everyone who deals with light should look long and hard at Rembrandt's lighting. And photography plus 3D modeled environmental lighting are such good lighting training tools!
Lyle Huisken
Beautiful, Jim. Love the Rembrandt lighting!
Jean Hildebrant
Fantastic work, Jim! I have no idea how to do this type of digital art! Fascinating :-)
Addie Hocynec
Love the composition of this piece as well as the lighting.
Carola Ann-Margret Forsberg
