I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loved it. The tuxedo cat painting was beautifully done. The blue and purple background was perfect to showcase the artist rendering of the cat.

This was a big hit as a gift. The recipients had taken a romantic picture in this locale And now they have a beautiful bag to take with them on their honeymoon.

Meaning behind the art: I honestly wasn’t going to make a Tack Down Tuesday piece today I was thinking I deserved a break. But then I could help myself, a creature of habit and found myself up in the studio spreading and rolling some acrylic paint on the surface after I did a graphite scribble. I found a piece of paper I created from a magazine during a workshop demo and I have been hesitant to use it. But I scanned the magazine paper and now I can print a page any time I want as it’s saved in my files. The composition on this piece is a cruciform which I greatly emphasized. Love the repetitive lines and patterns. I looked over the piece of book page I had for a few word that were grouped together and I kept coming back...
Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather’s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She’s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region. Her works has won many awards and most recently the 27th Annual Juried Exhibit with the National Collage Society.
