This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

About Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND
REACH BEYOND, my logo and general theme and goal, usually is the first painting on the left of the top row, or near there. Go ahead and click on it now to open it up for a much better look. And if you're interested, then just go on to more of the paintings. You can always come back and read what I wrote about me. But I seriously hope that these paintings present various facets of my perceptions of our world -- or wishes FOR it -- more vividly -- or at least differently -- than writing can. They mutely show what objects and situations I think merit attention and from what points of view I choose to present them and in what medium and style. I hope that perhaps some, or even a part of one, will touch and vibrate with some part of you,...

I can't help wondering where this picture was taken. My guess is Rome, Italy.

I changed the title to what it now is at this point: "This UNADULTERATED Photo Needs No Further Title. " (I don't know how to do that adultring stuff, any how). Ninety-six per cent I just paint, usually abstractly. Frankly, I was interested only in taking another photo of the fantastic and "unbelievable" artwork and marble. Peace, etc., Bruce Combs

Thanks for writing again Michael. As to 'why is the light "Forsaken?" ' You're an artist, Michael. Look at the picture and think about it. Peace, etc, Bruce

Thanks for your comment on my painting. If all you did was take the picture, then it is one cool shot. The next time I'm in Rome I'll see if I can explain the angle of the light. Another question - why is the light "Forsaken?"
Bruce Combs
Interesting question Michael, and I\'m sure you know more about it than I do, or did until a few minutes when I lost what I had written by looking this up carelessly. So again I\'ll say that II had always just assumed they were sun\'s rays coming through 2 different of the rectanglular windows at the base of the dome. (Space Patrol got me. Continued)

(Cont.) Did you see how this is just a whimsical tourist snapshot! There There are plenty of St Peters\\\' websites, of course. After looking at lots photos in several I decided that I still think that view (puns?) is true. You\\\'ll notice that the light does funny things below them, partly because of their being on a curve, I guess, and the huge distances inside and depending on the time of day, year, etc. (Cont.)

(Cont.)See this page here and others nearby: http://www.greatbuildings.com/cgi-bin/gbi.cgi/St_Peters_of_Rome.html/cid_1057405202_DSC00505.html That\'s all I know, except that I\'d like to be where you live right now a while. Peace, etc., Bruce

I'm curious about this picture - it seems to me that the two rays of light resolve at a point just outside the window. If it were light from the sun, wouldn't they be just about parallel?
Bruce Combs
Thanks a billion, Angel (nice name for church comment!; Gringo comment there, huh?). I'm still laughing. I'm sure St. Peter is, too. The Pope? I'm not sure.

Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND replied:
Thank you Natalie. Your comments always make me so happy because then I see another of your wonderful portraits without having to stop to enjoy for a while and spend an hour or two writing a still inadequate comment! They take my breath away even this little! Peace, etc., Bruce

Bruce, Divinely guided or not, this is fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!
Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND replied:
Thanks to all of you. I first titled it FORSAKEN LIGHT. Any comments below here came with this newer title -- Oh, I guess that would be above here. Peace, etc., Bruce
Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND replied:
Anne, I don't see why I should thank you again for the wonderful comments you leave me! But you have it simpler than I, trying to find words adequate to your art AND universal love of beauty and all that lives, or has. Thank you, and for being you. Peace, etc., Bruce
