About William Rosshirt
William Rosshirt currently lives and works in Austin, TX. He studied studio art at the University of North Texas, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Painting and Drawing. His work is displayed in numerous solo and group shows throughout the region each year with work featured in The 2009 Texas Biennial, and receiving awards from MSCC Forsyth Center Galleries, Meadows Gallery Center for the Visual Arts, Gallery Lombardi, The Denton Chamber of Commerce, Design Works Gallery, and Locust Gallery. He builds and stretches his own canvases and works in both very large and small formats with meticulous detail to produce renderings of time, space, and life through metaphorical systems of growth.
