Much like apples, the Pacific Northwest of the United States is a perfect place for growing cherries. From July to mid-august an abundance of sweet cherries make their way onto the tables of our homes. These three little cherries were inspired by the dark red skin of Bing Cherries that sat on the table in my studio. The morning light coming through my window provided wonderful highlights and deep purple shadows. They were a sprightly trio that may have been similar to the inspiration for Robert Graves poem, "Cherry-Time". Here are the words to his poem:
