Artist's Description

Toby's is the classic hang-out for people on Whidbey Island. Always crowded, besides the location right on the waterfront, the attraction is the historic interior and good seafood (you couldn't find any fresher mussels). The bar sailed "around the Horn," prior to the construction of the Panama Canal. That's my pick-up reflected in the glass, which might lead you to think I spend a fair amount of my time here (if only I had that time).

About Perry Woodfin

Perry Woodfin

Perry studied and received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from Washington State University, and has made a living with his art since 1965. His work is included in numerous collections and he holds many awards. Puget Sound raised, he lives on Whidbey Island fifty miles north of Seattle, Washington. Painting what surrounds him, he says, "I feel each piece of my art is like a word (or sentence), and when all is said and done I would hope people would say I had something interesting to say."
