Artist's Description

Seen in Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi, a sleepy little town of about 28,000, who's main claim to fame, or infamy, depending on one's point of view, is that this is where the Treaty of Perelaslav was signed in 1654 at a meeting between the council of Zaporozhian Cossacks and Vasiliy Buturlin, representative of Tsar Alexey I of the Tsardom of Russia, during the Khmelnytsky Uprising.
