Description

Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder.   All seams are double-stitched for added durability.   Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

Artist's Description

This Tornado Bowl is woven by hand with Basket Reed, (the core of rattan), and Tan & Rust Raffia, (a palm leaf). The pattern is called "Tornado's", and the stitch is a variation of the skip stitch. This bows measures 8" tall by 8" wide at the widest area. This bowl is made of a 3 stick coil method. If you have any other questions, or interested in purchasing, please feel free to contact me.

My name is Darlene Ryer, I was born in California and now reside in Mountainair, New Mexico. I am a Professional Artist, who is Self Taught. My Traditional Baskets are woven out of Natural Materials, such as Red Bud, Willow, Sedge Roots, Woodwardia Ferns, and Buck Brush, which I gather and prepare myself. Many of these Baskets sometimes take up to a year to complete. I also use Basket Reed, which is the core of Rattan, and Raffia which is a Palm Leaf, to weave my Intricate Patterned Baskets. Many of my Patterns come from Nature, and some were given to me from my Mother.
