Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I love this print! Her dress is so pretty and victorian and I can daydream that this is me in another lifetime , contemplating life while visiting the sea

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Just exactly what I was looking for. Next time I’m in SFO, I’ll be sure to wear flowers in my hair! Thank you so much for bringing back all those memories.

Artist's Description
There are so many iconic photos of Yosemite, and it's such a rewarding location for photographers, but one of my personal favourites is the view from the appropriately-named Tunnel View viewpoint.
After travelling for almost a mile in near-darkness along the Wawona Tunnel, the distant tunnel end slowly gets brighter and brighter until you burst out into the daylight and are confronted with this stunning view across the valley, with breathtaking views of El Capitan, Half Dome and Bridalveil Falls.
On this cold winter day, there were some beautiful, wispy high clouds, as well as some mist hanging to the sides of El Capitan, which made for some fantastic photography conditions, with the dappled sunlight coming through the clouds and falling on the snow-covered trees on the valley floor.
These conditions, with light and shade, lots of trees, and interesting cloud structures, were an excellent subject for infra-red photography, a technique where visible light is b...
About Alexis Birkill
Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
