Seema Gill

Seema Gill: Biography Seema Gill is a Punjab born artist, writer and poet. She was born in the year of India's partition, to a soldier father and housewife mother. She travelled away from India in 1973 to escape an arranged marriage and to find her own path and identity. After arriving in Denmark she met and married a marxist fanatic who was more concerned with 3rd world movements than his wife who he beat and treated badly. She became an overglaze painter, social worker fighting for the rights of immigrants, founded a magazine in Denmark, then, when her husband was under suspicion of bank robbery to fund revolutionary activity, he took her to Africa where she became journalist, mother, art workshop leader and lived and travelled...
