I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
painted this in Protest of H.R. 2112. A Spending appropriation bill that was just signed by President Obama, paving the way to start slaughtering horses for human consumption in the US. This is unthinkable to me and million of others. Most American do not eat horse meat no more then we would eat our cats or dogs. This is all about Money to be made by a few investors who have lobbied politicians to get this bill passed, one way or the other. They did this by embedding it in to H.R. 2112. Selling horse flesh to Japan and Belgium among a few countries where Horse meat is a delicatessen is big Money. These pro horse slaughter lobbies use the argument of "There are too many horses something needs to be done" and It will create Jobs and revenue. If the measure for doing something like slaughtering horses or not is that it will create jobs and create revenue, that I suggest we start legalizing drugs and prostitution. Both would create many more jobs and billions in revenue and does not includ...

This ended up being really prophetic and the practice is now coming back to bite people who weren't paying attention on the bu**. Thank you for paying attention.
Ginette Callaway replied:
Yes Anita. I, you many other people that know about the issue and care about animals and in this case specifically horse slaughter, we tried to raise the flags but it's sad that many are just not paying attention. It makes me feel pretty powerless. I am very sad about the whole issue and that some states now begin to slaughter horses. I know lots aobut horses and they are highly sensitive animal and very head shy trying to kill them with head shot is really barbaric since people miss and just wound them. I've seen pictures of horses with eyes hanging out and worse when they try to bash them with hammers lingering in pain. There won't be any oversight so what goes on behind close doors is probably worse.

Thank you for the information, Ginette, I did not know about this.
Ginette Callaway replied:
Yes Anita, many people don't know. Politicians sneak this kind of thing passed people by embedding it in to other bills that have little to do with the issue. Most that sign these bills don't even read them. It's all I scratch your back you scratch mine. The Media pays no attention either, they are too busy with celebrity gossip. I know cause I am searching for this sort of thing on government web sites and Blogs.

Powerful painting! Everyone who backed and signed the bill should be ashamed .. but they have no shame
Ginette Callaway replied:
So true my friend. All they see is dollar signs!

Lovely image Ginette! I am sickened by the slick way that bill was pushed through.
Ginette Callaway replied:
Thanks so much DiDi. Me too. I'm glad to hear others know about it too. I'm looking in to this bill SB1176 that may be able to undo this one. It's all so convoluted on purpose that it all gets smuggled passed us.
