UH-60 helicoptor simulation, Supercomputer simulation of the UH-60 helicoptor rotor system being tested in the National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Complex. This simulation is part of the FUN3D fully-unstructured Navier-Stokes toolset. This is used to address complex aerodynamics problems such as multi-body dynamics, acoustics, radiation, ablation, and turbulent flows. The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter has been used by the US military since 1979. This simulation, one of several carried out with NASA supercomputers such as the Pleiades supercomputer, was featured at the SC13 supercomputing conference in November 2013.
