Uncle Joe is my favorite uncle. He is painted in oil on a 16 by 20 inch canvas. The background is in burnt umber and yellow. He is wearing a dark red blanket. His face is framed with dark, almost black hair that is tied with yellow gold decorations and red beads. A white leather head band is over his hair and forehead. You can see green beads peaking out from behind his braids of black hair below his chin. A white leather tie is holding on his headdress of feathers dyed yellow, gold, red and blue. Hanging from the headdress is a white fur decoration hanging down the left side of his face. The white tie fastens underneath his chin and hangs down over a gold medallion on his chest. His face is weathered and his eyes are filled with wisdom. Uncle Joe has seen a lot in his life. This painting is protected by copyright.

I have been an oil painter my entire life. Many of the paintings that I do are sentimental rural settings. I also like to paint landmarks and paintings that tell a story like "Surprise Visit". My paintings have won first place in a lot of competitions and many times have been sold that way.
