This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

This image is part of the ongoing series called, The Film Camera. The mighty film cameras of the past have fallen. This gallery will celebrate the possible uses of old film cameras plus just nice images of some of the old classics. If you don't see your camera please let me know and I will find it for you.
About Mike McGlothlen
Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums. Mike: Love this picture and the way you superimposed over the background....I have a collection of old bellows cameras. Worked at a newspaper in southwestern Michigan for 20 years, and...at an advertising agency in Tampa for 20 years. In 1950's and 60's used a lot of the cameras you have on display. The camera on the right is just like the one I borrowed from my Mother in 1966 and took to Italy on a school trip. Shooting with it at Pompei caused me to become hooked on this artistic endeavor for life! Clever image Mike, well done.
