What an awesome representation of the history of Tasmania! Outstanding work CE!!!!

Love this minimalistic and monochrome image with it's golden tone. Well seen and captured! ... F/V

Thank you. Out of all my work, Van Dieman's Land is one of my favorites.

Artist's Description

Now kings will rule and the poor will toil. And tear their hands as they tear the soil But a day will come in this dawning age When an honest man sees an honest wage - Written by The Edge/U2, 3rd verse of Van Dieman's Land. The song is dedicated to a Fenian poet named John Boyle O'Reilly, who was deported to Australia because of his poetry. Van Diemen's Land was the original name used by most Europeans for the island of Tasmania, now part of Australia. In 1803, the island was colonised by the British as a penal colony with the name Van Diemen's Land, and became part of the British colony of New South Wales. In 1856 the colony was granted responsible self-government with its own representative parliament, and the name of the island and colony was changed to Tasmania.
