This was our first purchase from the site and we love it! It arrived quickly. We wanted something different for the guest bath and this art combined two of my husband's favorite things. The curtain has a quality feel to it and the design is bright I wasn't sure of the color combination at first (orangey red, navy, turquoise and a touch of black) but it works! We've received many compliments and chuckles. My only regret was not being able to fit the words on without using a border - I was unsure of the colors, etc. Bottom line is that we love what we received!!! LOVE it!

NICE.
Karyn Robinson, Gilbert, Arizona.
I've painted three cameras; two are cameras from before 'my time', but this is the camera I remember from when I was a child. The Kodak Instamatic 814 complete with flash cube. The other day I was telling someone about this painting and he asked me what a flashcube was. This takes me back to a time when you thought about each photograph. I remember my dad taking pictures on holidays until we were out of flashcubes.
This would be a great painting to anchor a framed group of family photos. It would also be a wonderful addition to a collection of camera memorabilia. I have two other camera prints and all three would make a wonderful grouping.
I had to laugh...the other day I was watching my favorite show, "Mad Men" and in that one show, two of the cameras I painted were used; this instamatic with a flashcube and the Rolleiview.
Some things are just timeless.
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play. "Sometimes I feel that there is not enough time in the day to paint everything I want to paint. I'm so captivated by this wonderful, beautiful world. If I can just continue to paint and share my work with...
