Rome was a wonderful place to search out beautiful architecture, including windows and doors. My husband was on call to constantly search all the buildings as we walked our way around the city for interesting windows and doors. Here is only one example, spied on the Via di Porta Pinciana, after leaving the Borghese Gardens and Gallery, and heading for the metro. I like to imagine that visitors to even the grandest homes might travel by bicycle! Soon after this on our walk, we found a few nice leather stores where I bought myself a lovely small purple leather purse! It's always fun to travel on foot and find a few little treasures along the way.
