Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. Artist's Description
This painting of a toddler hugging a mother-to-be is part of a group of illustrations I completed for the children's book "When You Were a Baby Jayhawk" by author Jennifer Bennett (Mascot Publishing, 2012). In choosing this particular composition, I found the reflections of light through the glass and onto the baby irresistable .
About Maureen Dean
Inspired by Zoltan Szabo, Jan Kunz, and Stephen Quiller, I am self-taught, working with watercolor off and on since 1994. I also enjoy printmaking and harbor an ever-growing collection of unfinished oil paintings. In 2010, I was commissioned to illustrate the children's book "When You Were a Baby Jayhawk" by Jennifer Bennett, but in 2021, my heart goes out to our endangered planet, and my latest work is focused on a collection of endangered wildlife.
