This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!

Oil On Canvas - Based and attributed to Hendrik Willem Mesdag - Pinks in the Breakers [c1875-85]. My painting closely resembles this work, but it is not a reproduction as it was a commission work where my client requested the image be made to appear more modern in color but with the very same image. It was certainly not easy to transform such original beauty into something that appeared to have been painted in a different style. I certainly had a challenge, although I enjoyed it immensely. For anyone who is interested, I own the rights to reproduce and or attribute works/ in this gallery/category. If you do some research online, you will find mine is a resemblance at best, and not an intended reproduction. /2008
