Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Artist's Description

Washington and Franklin Hall was the first building constructed for the newly moved Randolph-Macon College in 1872 in Ashland, VA. It's construction was funded by funds raised by students, and was the first brick building in Ashland, VA. Renovated in 1987, it now houses R-MC's History Department, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Erik used his Nikon D80, and corrected for architecture using Photoshop CS2.

About Erik Berglund

Erik Berglund

Erik Berglund started taking photographs in 1987 while in the US Navy. After his discharge, he was busy going to school, and could not afford the cost of processing. In 2006, he was able to buy a Nikon D50, and in early 2007 upgraded to the Nikon D80. With the cost of taking a picture now free, tens of thousands of photographs have been taken. Erik prefers to use Photoshop as little as possible, and most of his pictures have no editing done. His interests are wide and varied; from natural scenery, wildlife, and architecture, he is willing to take a good photo anywhere.
