Marvelous image.

Aileen, Thank You! 90% of this shot was being there and just "seeing" this!

Nathalie,Thanks, and a nice "surprise" for me to find!

Beautiful capture!

Melissa, Thank You! Probably in the "Top Ten" of my images from that trip!

stunning capture, beautifully composed :o)

Sotiris, Thanks! It is one of my favorite images from my Smokies trips. Look for small stream there and try this yourself!

oh my i was staring for a few secs . lost me .. i imagine how it would be to be over there .. amazing photo my friend . you have my vote .!

Roy, Thanks! Yes, I like this one even better! When I was capturing this image, I nearly fell into the other shot from this little site, which is the leaves in the whirlpool image!

This one in color is even better.

Dirk, Thank you! And you have some wonderful images on your site! V

Wonderful capture! v

Charles, I believe it was on the North Carolina side, the Tenn. side was a lot browner, but I doubt I could find this spot again!

Beautiful image. I know it was taken in the Smokies, but where abouts? On the North Carolina side or the Tennessee side? VF

Spring in the Smokies is a great time too, maybe even better than Fall, less RV's and tourists!!!

Beautiful!!! A place I would love to be at right now and gazing at this awesome view

Raymond, thanks and I agree. I converted it to the B&W, for a client and then they bought the color one!

I'm a black and white fan, but here I think the color looks best...( my opinion). Both are awesome.

Lawrence, thanks and serendipity played a large role in this capture,Rich

Beautiful work!!

Thanks Scott, it was a perfect little waterfall. A few days earlier and the water would have been cloudy from rain and a few days later, less water coming over the spillway!

You get a vote here! I love the contrast and the color in this image. Thanks for your help in my thread. It put me on the first page. :)

Thanks Seth! I'm working on uploading more. I think I spent too much time on my flowers and stuff and now back to Lanscapes, etc. Rich

Loved that one too .... fantastic galleries by the way ... really beautiful

Artist's Description

One of my favorite images from a trip to the Smokies with a friend. Water was clear and just the right flow to capture this image.

About Rich Franco

Rich Franco

Hello! My name is Rich Franco and I first joined FAA in December of 2011. I'm a Photographer based here in Central Florida and, like many of others, started out with a "hand me down" camera and no idea what to do with it or even what the camera could do. So my first trip was to the local Library and the "photography" section and more specifically, the "how to" shelf. There I found an odd assortment of books that described things and subjects that were way over my head. Then I found my first edition of the Time/Life books on Photography and that's where I started!
